Yomi Kastro is the Founder & Managing Partner of Inveon and Inventures. He programmed his first software at the age of 11 and has dedicated himself to information technologies and Internet ventures ever since. In 2006, he founded Inveon to develop e-commerce software solutions and infrastructures for enterprises. Inveon was granted the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 Award in 2017 and 2018.
Kastro also founded Inventures, an early-stage accelerator that invests in promising Internet ventures in 2009. He is an investor and/or board member of more than 20 successful Internet ventures including Supplementler.com, Trendyol, Ideasoft, Blesh, Metamorfoz, Scorp, Tazemasa, myGini and Bulucak.com.
He was regarded as the “Most Successful Young Entrepreneur of the Year 2009” by JCI. During his PhD, Kastro’s articles on Internet technologies, machine learning and software engineering were published in numerous academic journals. Completing his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Computer Engineering at Bogazici University, Kastro was recognized with a high honors degree. He then advanced his academic career by completing Harvard Business School’s Private Equity and Venture Capital Program.
Yomi Kastro is the Founding Board Member of the Turkish Entrepreneurship Foundation. He is also the Board Member of the TUBISAD Informatics Industry Association.
Inveon’s Managing Partner Emir Alkaş graduated from Boğaziçi University with an honors degree in Computer Engineering. In his senior year, he started to work as a Basketball Coach for Efes Pilsen Sports Club. Alkaş coached teams of different levels in Efes Pilsen for 8 years and was the assistant coach to the main team in last 4 years. Later he joined the Galatasaray Cafe Crown as an assistant coach, Alkaş carried on the same duty at Anadolu Efes Basketball Team.
His area of expertise is analysing the opponent team. Emir Alkaş thinks his engineering skills have a unique harmony with basketball analytics. In 2014, he joined Inveon full time, being in charge of technical processes, and developments.
Partner & Director of Business Development
Moris Kastro is a Partner & The Director of Business Development at Inveon. Before joining Inveon, Kastro was working in Google’s Dublin Office, where he focused on improving search engine results and protecting subscribers from invalid clicking. During his time at Google, he was invited to give speeches and to share subscriber case studies all over the world. Formerly, he was working in Endeavor, consulting entrepreneurs in the selection process. Also, Kastro holds a high-honors degree in Physics from Boğaziçi University from which he graduated from in 2008.
Accounting and Finance Manager
Öznur Mengü graduated from Istanbul University, Deparment of Accounting and Finance Management in 2001. She worked as the General Accounting Responsible at Özel & Özel Attorneys at Law and at Interbank Card Center of Turkey (BKM).
Öznur Mengü joined Inveon in May 2013, as the Accounting and Finance Manager.
Miray Endican Kuşak
Head of Products and R&D
Miray Endican Kuşak graduated from Business Administration Department of Marmara University in 2005 and took an active role at Finansbank (QNB) on credit risk management and penetration of the bank’s portfolio in the region.
She worked as the Team Leader of Corporate Sales at Borusan Telecommunications and then as the Product Manager at Vodafone, launched the first branded reseller project of Vodafone VIPCell, first affiliate program with İhlas Holding, Vodafone RED Loyalty Program, Network Challenge Program and Mobile Payment Product (MFS). She managed the transformation of Corporate Online Sales at Turk Telekom.
As the Head of Products and R&D at Inveon, she leads the R&D and product roadmap to create disruptive business impacts on ecosystems and actively works on the development of new software and AI technologies.
Head of GrowthLab
Güneş was born on the 21st of July 1986, in Istanbul. She graduated from Işık University’s Faculty of Information Technologies in 2009. She has been involved in e-commerce industry for 13 years.
Mitrani started her career by managing e-commerce channels of Turkey’s leading retail companies, such as Mavi, Boyner and Roman. She has taken part in the projects of the first sales on Facebook and the creation of CRM structure. During her time as the E-Commerce Marketing Manager at Defacto, the company rose up to rank 2nd among the biggest mono-brand retailers in Turkey.
She led the team that conducted the first omni-channel project in Turkey. She re-structured the marketing department of FLO in a short period as the E-commerce Marketing Manager, and played a big role in the increase of the company’s e-commerce volume by 2.5 times in a year.
As the Head of GrowthLab in Inveon, she helps companies increase their revenues with digital marketing, 3rd party management, data analysis and e-commerce-focused management consultancy.
Fatih Cudi Önal
VP of Engineering
Fatih Cudi Ünal, Vice President of Engineering at Inveon, graduated from Istanbul Technical University, Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering in 1996. He started his career in software industry at Bilişim Co.
In 2002, he started working as the Software Developer at Nexum, and has been assigned to the positions of Project Manager, IT Manager and CIO during his ten years there. He worked as the Co-Founder of Nuevo Softwarehouse and later as Pshychometric Tools and IT Director at Assessment Systems. In 2018, he joined Inveon as VP of Engineering, where he is responsible for the management of technical teams.
Avi Alkaş completed his undergraduate and graduate degrees at Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Business Administration. Alkaş has over 15 years of experience in shopping mall concept development, real estate and management.
After working as a real estate and finance consultant in Akmerkez, Carousel and Izmit Outlet Center projects, Alkaş founded Alkaş Shopping Malls Consultancy and provided real estate and financial consultancy services to Istanbul Olivium, Nautilus, Armada, Koru Park, İstinye Park and Kayseri Park shopping mall projects.
Avi Alkaş is the founding member and Vice President of the Board of Turkey Shopping Malls and Retailers Association. He is also a member and jury of the ICSC European Board and a lecturer of Professional Development at the ICSC J. Riordan School.
Turgut Gürsoy is the chairman of Lidya Ventures and its portfolio companies Agito and Enocta, and has several board seats in various companies as an entrepreneur.
Turgut Gürsoy, graduate of Yıldız Technical University Faculty of Engineering, started his professional career in 1984 as a design engineer. He served in Transteknik Holding between 1986-1989 and worked as a technical manager. In 1989 he established Probil company. He initiated and established Proservis and Pronetwork in 1995 and 1997 respectively. He got his first private equity fund from EMEA Technology Investment in 2000 and merged Probil, Proservis, Pronetwork, Teknobim and Bordata under the name of Probil AS. He sold one of Probil’s subsidiary company, Bizitek to Ericsson in 2009, and sold 100% of Probil to Netas in 2011. He served as the chairman of TUBISAD between 2008 and 2012 and is still active as a board member.
Alvi Mazon graduated from Boğaziçi University, Faculty of Industrial Manufacturing. During his university years, he founded Karma Computer, an OEM distributor company in Turkey. Karma Computer has since become the biggest distributor in 20 European countries.
Mazon also worked as the founding board member of Arena Computer and board member of Armada Computer. Mazon, who was on the board of the Airties company in 2007, played an active role in the growth of the firm with his investments.
Atty. Okan Demirkan
Okan Demirkan has completed his academic education in Israel, the Netherlands and England, and started working as a lawyer in 2000. He is currently a partner in charge of conflicts resolution, energy & infrastructure and ethics & compliance.
Demirkan’s advocacy cases include commercial, administrative and business cases and criminal cases related to white-collar crimes. Having gained extensive experience in international arbitration cases for more than 15 years, he has also served as an arbitrator and legal expert in international and domestic arbitration processes. He is recognized internationally by institutes such as Chambers & Partners and Legal 500, among the leading lawyers in Turkey in dispute resolution. Demirkan’s other areas of expertise are energy and infrastructure projects. Some of Turkey’s most important and internationally critical energy projects, Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan Crude Oil Pipeline, Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP), Shah Deniz (Stage II) and Sinop Nuclear Power Plant, are among the projects where Demirkan played an important role. As a result of his accomplishments in such projects, Demirkan won the Client Choice Award as the Energy and Natural Resources Lawyer of the Year by International Law Office magazine in 2013, 2014 and 2017. He is also one of the authors of the book “Regulations and Practices Regarding the Security of Critical Energy Infrastructure Facilities for International Law and Turkish Law”, published in 2012. As one of the board members of Turkey’s leading NGO in ethics and compliance, Ethics & Reputation Society, he founded the Council of Legislation Development and Activation. In this context, Demirkan takes an active role in the development of bribery and corruption laws in the private sector, and offers consultancy services in this area for many clients as well. Demirkan is the member of following associations: Association of International Petroleum Negotiators (AIPN), International Nuclear Law Association (INLA), ICC, Young International Arbitrators Group (YIAG), International Bar Association (IBA), Turkish – British Chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI), Corporate Governance Association of Turkey, Ethics & Reputation Society of Turkey, Yenibirlider Association and Galatasaray Sports Club.
Arie Gözlüklü graduated from Boğaziçi University International Trade and Management Information Systems Double Major Program, ranked first in class. While completing his Master of Arts degree in Economics at Farba University in Barcelona, he has worked as a research assistant and lectured as an assistant at the same university.
Gözlüklü received his PhD at the Department of Finance of Bocconi University in Milan. He is currently an Assistant Professor at Warwick Business School. He has many publications and works as a reviewer in important journals such as Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Financial Management and Journal of Financial Markets. He is an academic advisory board member of European Finance Association and World Finance Conferences. He has presented his research at many international finance conferences and has been to the US, Germany, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands for educational and business purposes. He joined the global strategy competition at the State University of New York and won by providing the best strategy and has successfully represented Turkey in the international arena. Gözlüklü, who has mastered the English, German, Spanish and Italian languages, is also interested in sports such as swimming and tennis.
